When Stew is not working he loves to spend his time either in, on, by, or under the water. His favorite activity is scuba diving. He dives locally throughout the four seasons in New Hampshire. His love of adventure, challenge and immense curiosity motivates him to explore and grow. Having grown up by the water, he was always curious about what it was like under there. He has amassed a beautiful collection of artifacts from the Piscataqua River located in Portsmouth, NH. Some of the items he has uncovered date back as far as the early 1600's. His love of adventure is a driving force in and out of the water.

In pursuit of further challenge and the drive of immense curiosity, in February of 2000 Stew began cave diving in Akumal, Mexico, earning a cave diving certification that now allows him to explore the depths of many cave systems in the Yucatan Peninsula. Stew is certified by Technical Diving International and is currently training for an advanced certification through Global Underwater Explorers. This certification will allow him to explore even deeper into the cave systems. He has learned a tremendous amount about his own capabilities as a result of learning to cave dive.
